A Surgical Oncologist with sub-specialization in Head Neck & Breast Oncology and more than 20 years of patient treatment experience, Dr. Mandeep is currently working with CK Birla Hospital,Punjabi Bagh,New Delhi as Director-Surgical Oncology and has previously also worked with Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, as Sr. Consultant & Head of Department – Head Neck & Breast Oncoplasty. The standard Surgery for Head Neck Cancer consists of Removal of Tumor (+/-) Bone (and/or) Skin, with adequate margin and resection of Lymph Nodes of Neck, with or without reconstruction of defect formed. Dr. Mandeep is immensely experienced in performing Surgeries for Head Neck & Breast Cancers. He is amongst the Most Experienced Surgeons in India, in treating and operating Advanced or Recurrent Oral (Mouth), Oropharynx (Throat), Larynx (Voice Box), Thyroid, Orbital and Maxillary (Upper Jaw Bone) Cancers. He is also proficient in performing Trans Oral Robotic/ Endoscopic Surgery for Oropharangeal Cancers and Sleep Apnoea, Orthognathic and Facial Reconstruction/Realignment post Cancer or Trauma Mutilation. The Standard Surgery for Breast Cancer consists of removal of Cancer in the Breast in form of a Mastectomy (complete removal of breast) or Breast Conservation (removal of the tumor with adequate margins preserving the non-affected Breast) and addressal of lymph nodes in Axilla (Arm Pit) either via Complete Removal of Lymph Nodes (known as Axillary Lymph Node Dissection) or in early stages, via Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy. Dr. Mandeep is the Pioneer of the Technique of Removal of Incidentally Detected Occult (Early) Cancers (by injecting Radionucleotide Dye – ROLL TECHNIQUE); Oncoplastic Breast Preservation & Breast Reconstructive Surgery; Secondary Reconstruction for Breast Cancer Survivors; Identification, Work Up & Intervention (including Prophylactic Mastectomy) of women with family history of Breast and Ovarian Cancers. He is one of the Founders of “Art of Healing Cancer” – an initiative to augment the standard cancer treatment with metabolic therapy and is also the Medical Advisor to Oncostem diagnostics, Gene Kard, Roko Cancer, Discovering Hands – NAB and UMEED Initiative.
